Northwest APRS Summer Gathering, previously held on the weekend following Labor Day in September: First held in 1996 at Valley Camp in North Bend, Washington, and hosted by Thom K7FZO and Teena Proehl, is the northwest premier gathering of APRS enthusiasts. Held annually on the weekend following Labor Day in September, the site offers visitors a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors while attending APRS-related seminars and lectures. There's breakfast, lunch, and dinner served BYOB and extras to share. Plenty of camping, tent, and RV spots, and a big bunkhouse for those who still need a bed. The event was well attended in 2019, before the Pandemic struck. COVID cancelled the 2020 and 2021 events, and a brief survey failed to elicit interest to bring the Gathering back in 2022. The SG is officially retired.
