Northwest Automatic Position Reporting System NWAPRS Group Organization

At this time it is the desire of the majority of the group to remain officially "un-organized". This is in contrast to being "disorganized", which we aren't.

All equipment used within the organization is personal owned by its members. There is no charter, no board of directors, or other such official direction of the group. In lieu of organization, we have a number of area coordinators across the region, and one Lead Coordinator, Dave Dobbins/K7GPS.

If we were to have a set of by-laws, it would read something like this:  blah blah blah blah blah.

There are no dues for the group. You want to be a member, you're a member. You want to help you, you're a contributing member. You want to lead a group, you're a leading member. If you want Dave's position, well you'll have to wrestle him for it. After all, there is a certain amount of prestige that goes along with being the LC.

If you're a fuddy duddy looking to break into some organization and stir the pot and create hate and discontent, please just go away now. Don't go away mad, just go away. We don't need your attitude, your sarcasm, or your inability to be a member of a team of good ham radio operators.

Update: Aug 2005: We'll see how good some people are reading these messages. Effective Jan 2006, the url for this group will change from nwaprs.org to nwaprs.info, to more accurately reflect the intent and purpose of these web pages.

Have a nice day.
